What to ExpectAs an innovation leader, we look for ambitious, forward‑thinking, open‑minded and well‑rounded individuals to join our global team as a Territory Sales Manager. You will be working remotely out of your home office in Michigan and will be responsible for traveling to and selling Gates products throughout the assigned territory. You will be responsible for selling automotive products including belts, hoses, timing belts, and water pumps, to name just a few.
Key Responsibilities- Taking responsibility for and making every effort to resolve communication, trust and respect concerns and problems.
- Implementing distribution strategies to accelerate growth of new and additional products and/or new markets.
- Monitoring competitive environment to identify opportunities and countermeasures to address competition.
Requirements and Preferred Skills
- 2+ years of progressive sales experience
- High school diploma
- Must be proficient with the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Travel required within the given territory for this position is 50% - 70%
- Most nights are at home but 20 - 25% of your traveling will be spent overnight
- Ability to work flexible hours and locations depending on position and travel requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- Oracle Sales Cloud experience strongly preferred
- Salesforce experience preferred
- Equivalent industry experience with strong mechanical aptitude
- Passion for or willingness to learn about the automotive industry
