We are seeking an experienced, design-forward, dynamic, and self motivated Independent Multi-Line Sales Representative to expand our market in the Texas area. This is a remote, work-from-home position requiring regular in-person visits with designers, architects, showrooms, and firms throughout the region. This role involves developing new business opportunities, managing client accounts, and driving sales growth through strategic territory management. The ideal candidate will possess strong outside sales skills, and a proven track record in business development and account management.
As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to manage your own schedule while representing our innovative products and solutions to a broad customer base. You will represent our line alongside your existing complementary lines and will serve as the face of our brand for designers in the region. This is a commission-only independent contractor role–ideal for a motivated, established rep with deep connections in the design industry.
Identify and generate new leads through cold calling, networking, and targeted marketing efforts to expand the customer base.
- Develop and grow a strong client base of interior designers, architects, design firms, and showrooms.
- Actively present our custom rug collections and capabilities through in-person visits, digital presentations, and sample showings.
- Provide product education and consultation to designers, including fiber choices, color options, custom sizing, and design customization.
- Maintain regular follow-up with clients, offering support throughout their design and ordering process.
- Manage existing accounts by providing exceptional customer service, upselling additional products or services, and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and identify new opportunities in technology, retail, or other sectors.
- Provide feedback on product performance and customer needs to inform product development and marketing initiatives.
- Proven experience in outside sales, or technology sales with a focus on territory management and account development.
- Strong skills in negotiation, lead generation, direct sales, and customer service.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to conduct engaging product demos and presentations.
- Demonstrated ability in analysis skills for market research and strategic planning.
- Experience in retail sales or inside sales is a plus but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high levels of motivation and professionalism.
- Knowledge of marketing principles, upselling techniques, and technical sales processes is advantageous.

While a Bachelor’s degree is preferred, candidates with strong experience in the interior design or furnishings industry may be considered in lieu of a degree, and degrees in related or other fields are welcome.
