Henry Schein Dental Transition Sales Consultant
Represent, support, and advise dentists through one of the most important transactions in their careers – the sale or transition of their practice. As a consultant and expert guide you will evaluate the business, prepare for a transition, list and market the practice, negotiate offers, secure financing, close the deal, and provide post‑transaction support.
Key Responsibilities- Understand dental practice operations, transaction process, acquisition financing, and communicate this knowledge confidently to facilitate transactions.
- Provide consultation to aid practitioners in future sale planning.
- Sell company services to practice owners while delivering a customized, superior client experience.
- Manage stresses and uncertainties from initial conversations through post‑closing contacts.
- Achieve annual valuation, brokerage, and other HS DPT services goals as established with HS DPT Leadership and your direct supervisor.
- Comply with terms and conditions of transition and related services, including secure storage and transfer of required documents and signatures.
- Develop and maintain quality relationships with Henry Schein Dental TSMs.
- Coordinate and attend in‑person and virtual meetings and closings.
- Maintain continuous, timely contact with clients and other parties to address questions and ensure progress toward closing.
- Seek out, attend and present at dental study clubs, society meetings, HSD sales meetings, and regional or statewide dental meetings.
- Train Henry Schein TSMs on HS DPT services and products. Utilize HS DPT database and/or C.R.M. system and related tools as directed.
- Attend all HS DPT internal training and scheduled meetings, in‑person and virtual; participate in special projects and perform other duties as required.
- Maintain state‑specific real‑estate licenses in good standing where required by law. Preference for sales knowledge, dental industry and transition knowledge, practice financing experience, or real‑estate sales experience.
- Communicate and present verbally, in writing, via email, and in person in a consistent, polished, and professional manner.
- Comfortable speaking and presenting to individuals, small groups, and larger audiences.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
- Self‑starter with a service‑centric disposition and ability to collaborate within teams.
- Strong planning/organizational skills and techniques.
- Focused decision‑making, analysis, and problem‑solving skills with the ability to multi‑task.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Extreme attention to detail.
- Effective interpersonal and consultative skills.
- Ability to manage stress and complicated situations.

- Positive, supportive, and team‑oriented attitude.
Prior sales and/or dental experience preferred. An active real‑estate license is strongly preferred, however not required.
Preferred EducationTypically a Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in a related discipline.
Travel / Physical DemandsTravel typically less than 40‑50%, including after hours and evenings. Home office environment. No special physical demands required.
