Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Employee Benefits Producer to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business and managing ongoing relationships with employers by providing comprehensive group benefits solutions. You’ll help clients across all industries to develop, obtain, and manage effective employee benefits strategies that help the companies grow and maintain a healthy, thriving workforce.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong consultative sales skills and a deep understanding of employee benefits products.
- Identify, prospect, and develop new business opportunities in the employee benefits market through direct B2B sales
- Build and manage a pipeline of employer clients across industries and company sizes.
- Evaluate client needs and develop comprehensive employee benefits strategies.
- Design and present customized benefits packages including group health, dental, vision, life, disability, voluntary benefits, and wellness programs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to HR professionals and business owners, helping them navigate benefit offerings and compliance.
- Collaborate with other sales verticals to introduce Your-Policy’s full product line to broaden the scope and impact of client relationships (Commercial P&C, Payroll, etc.)
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations (ACA, ERISA, COBRA), and carrier offerings.
- Achieve and exceed sales and retention targets through strategic planning and execution.
- Maintain the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality with client information and agency data.
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required. - Licensing:
Active Life and Health required (or ability to obtain within 90 days). - Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in supplementary benefits insurance sales or a related role. - Proven track record of building strong client relationships and achieving sales targets through B2B sales.
- Knowledge of group health insurance markets, funding arrangements, and regulatory compliance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven ability to build rapport and close sales in a competitive environment.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in CRM and agency management systems.
