Responsibilities
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing with state and local government customers
  • Build trust-based relationships with senior-level sales professionals
  • Understand customer strategies and provide tailored recommendations based on their business needs
  • Develop and implement strategies for revenue growth within existing accounts and new business opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer success and satisfaction
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years of related experience; or 6+ years with an advanced degree
  • Proven experience in selling within a SaaS organization, ideally with multi-year contracts
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Expertise in managing a sales pipeline and closing contracts at the state or agency level
  • Willingness to travel to designated states for customer meetings
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with solution-selling methodologies such as Challenger Sale, Customer-Centric Selling, or Business Impact Selling
  • Familiarity with technology skill development platforms and their value proposition
  • Previous experience in building mutual buying plans and forecasting business
