- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing with state and local government customers
- Build trust-based relationships with senior-level sales professionals
- Understand customer strategies and provide tailored recommendations based on their business needs
- Develop and implement strategies for revenue growth within existing accounts and new business opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance customer success and satisfaction
- Minimum of 8 years of related experience; or 6+ years with an advanced degree
- Proven experience in selling within a SaaS organization, ideally with multi-year contracts
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Expertise in managing a sales pipeline and closing contracts at the state or agency level
- Willingness to travel to designated states for customer meetings
- Experience with solution-selling methodologies such as Challenger Sale, Customer-Centric Selling, or Business Impact Selling
- Familiarity with technology skill development platforms and their value proposition
- Previous experience in building mutual buying plans and forecasting business
