Inolex is a fast-growing, innovative manufacturer of sustainable personal care ingredients serving leading brands worldwide. We are seeking a strategic, entrepreneurial Senior Technical Account Manager to lead high-impact partnerships and deliver exceptional value through advanced technical and commercial expertise. This role is designed for an experienced sales professional who can influence client innovation strategies, guide internal teams on winning approaches, and operate with a high degree of autonomy.
The Sr. Technical Account Manager will manage enterprise-level strategic accounts, drive long-term growth and shape winning strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams including Marketing, R&D, Sustainability, and Supply Chain based at our Philadelphia headquarters and Charlotte manufacturing facility.
This is a remote position based in the Northeast U.S. region.
Brief Description- Drive strategic growth across enterprise-level accounts, aligning with Inolex’s long-term objectives.
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with decision makers and influencers at top tier accounts.
- Identify white space opportunities and lead consultative discussions to position Inolex as a trusted innovation partner.
- Develop clear opportunity pipelines that balance short-term wins with long-term growth.
- Act as a consultant, providing insights into market trends, competitive positioning, and innovation roadmaps.
- Guide and coach internal teams (Sales, R&D, Marketing) on strategies to win major opportunities.
- Lead strategic account planning meetings and precall planning sessions internally and externally.
- Represent Inolex at industry events, trade shows, and technical seminars as a thought leader.
- Maintain accurate CRM records, forecasts, budgets, and reporting for strategic accounts.
- Mentor junior account managers and contribute to talent development within the commercial team.
- Support special projects and additional business needs as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, including experience engaging senior leadership.
- Advanced strategic thinking and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Strong financial acumen with ability to understand ROI and potential P&L impact.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment on complex projects.
- High degree of autonomy and decision-making capability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM systems.
- Ability to interpret technical documents and regulatory guidelines.
- Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related technical field.
- Minimum 10 years of strategic account management experience with at least 15 years in the Personal Care industry.
- Demonstrated success in managing strategic or enterprise-level accounts.
- Deep knowledge of personal care ingredients, formulation, and global market dynamics.
- Active in relevant industry associations.
- Prior formulation experience or ability to troubleshoot is a strong plus.
- Ability to work remotely from home office and execute travel to customer and on-site company meetings.
