Fast-forward from its start as a homegrown family business, House of Spices has become a middle-market wholesale/manufacturer which includes multiple distribution networks across the country. Although the business has and continues to expand rapidly, the brand is still family-owned and home-based out of the NYC metro area.

The Sales Manager will manage sales of the company’s products and services within a defined geographic area, province, or country. Ensures consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment, and management of sales personnel. Identifies objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.
Essential Functions- Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts in consultation with Head of Sales.
- Manages personnel and develops sales and sales support staff.
- Collaborates closely with the AR and Operations teams to ensure seamless service to customers.
- Accurately forecasts monthly, quarterly and annual monthly revenue streams with Category Managers.
- Develops specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s products.
- Provides quarterly results assessments of sales team’s productivity.
- Coordinates proper company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
- Implements all sales policies, practices, and procedures.
- Assists sales team in establishing personal contact and rapport with customers.
- Collaborates with Head of Sales to develop placements and sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
- Interprets short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.
- Educates sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new accounts and markets for sales growth. Educate team on growth, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts.
- Review sales of current and new products, identify new trends in the market, keep a close eye on competition activities.
- Collaborate with marketing team to participate in local events to promote HOS brands.
- Reviews expenses and travel plans for Sales Team and recommends economies.
- Holds a regular meeting with sales staff.
- Bachelor´s degree in Business Studies or a minimum of 7 years of related work experience in a food manufacturing sector.
- Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
- Skilled at leveraging internal resources to create customer value
- Proven Record in Building Strong Relationships & Networks
