Bid Room Specialist

• Organize and coordinate bid processes for orders across all departments within the division
• Provide excellent customer service and manage relationships with internal and external customers
• Communicate effectively with suppliers, merchants, and pro sales associates
• Develop and identify new opportunities to increase bid sales and optimize bid value
• Process complex bids involving pricing, sourcing, and logistics

• Must be eighteen years of age or older
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States
• Minimum of 4 years of work experience
• Ability to communicate effectively over the phone
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access

• Prior experience in the building materials industry
• Prior customer service experience
• Experience in inside/outside sales
• Knowledge of the commodity market
• Experience manipulating data in Excel
