What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  • Provide services to State Government accounts and identify, qualify, and close new sales opportunities
  • Develop and execute long-range planning and account penetration strategies to grow accounts
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to lead capture and sales efforts
  • Create proposals and customer-facing materials to advance deals and close transactions
  • Monitor competition and recommend changes in products and services based on client requirements
What is Required (Qualifications):
  • 7+ years of field sales experience, including at least 2 years with state agencies
  • Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas in a growth organization
  • Strong experience in Federal Government procurement and writing competitive proposals
  • Extensive knowledge of the competitive landscape within large agency ecosystems
  • Ability to travel up to 20%, more frequently if not based in Raleigh, NC
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Experience as a former director/deputy director in Medicaid, SNAP, etc.
  • Government engagement experience, including understanding of procurement and funding processes
  • Skilled relationship builder with the ability to engage key stakeholders in person
  • Experience using Salesforce
  • Knowledge of software-as-a-service solutions and the credit agency space
