Outside Sales Engineer – Industrial Solutions
Location: Phoenix, AZ (Remote work + travel to clients– must reside in the Phoenix area)
Travel: 40–50% regional travel
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Prequel Solutions is seeking an Outside Sales Engineer for a full-time opportunity with a leading manufacturer of industrial thermal and electrical solutions. This field-based role supports customers across the Southwest and offers a strong compensation package with base salary, performance incentives, and uncapped earning potential.
Role OverviewThis position is responsible for managing and growing an established territory across Arizona, Nevada, and New Mexico. The Outside Sales Engineer will maintain key customer relationships, develop new business opportunities, and provide technical support for industrial heat management and related solutions.
The role includes both direct sales to end users and collaboration with manufacturer representative partners.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and grow an established Southwest territory with existing revenue
- Develop new business within industrial, power generation, utility, and mining markets
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and decision-makers
- Provide technical consultation and solution support to customers
- Partner with internal teams and regional representatives to drive sales growth
- Meet or exceed territory revenue and growth targets
- Travel regularly throughout the region to support customer needs
- Experience in outside sales of industrial or technical products
- Technical background (Engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred)
- Experience with industrial heat trace, thermal systems, electrical, or related industrial solutions strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage a territory and develop new business
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a field-based role
- Must be based in the Phoenix area and willing to travel 40–50%
- Performance-based bonus (target ~35%)
