Eaton’s North American Sales division is currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager, West, Data Comm. This remote position is responsible for the West Territory and may be based in Denver, CO;
Phoenix, AZ;
Las Vegas, NV;
Seattle, WA;
Los Angeles, CA or San Francisco, CA. The role requires frequent travel, approximately 50% of the time.
The primary function of the Regional Sales Manager is to strategically lead and manage agent representative firms to achieve revenue growth, strengthen key business relationships, and ensure operational alignment across assigned territories by driving sales performance, developing new business opportunities, and providing ongoing training and support. Key activities will include developing, leading, and managing a strategically based Territory Sales team consisting of Agent/Manufacturer Representative.
Through a focused and targeted account assignment strategy, the named Regional Sales Manager - Datacom, will thrive independently while also leading the Team. The successful candidate will maximize penetration into assigned markets/customers to drive revenue levels consistent with Eaton sales and marketing goals while utilizing digital tools to drive business outcomes. As the named Regional Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Agent Rep Firms and the Customers will consist of Datacom Distributors (Accu-Tech, ADI, Wesco/Anixter, Graybar, Rexel as well as smaller regional distributors), installers, end users and consultants.
- Territory Sales Leadership & Management
- Lead, manage, and develop agent representative firms to achieve revenue goals and execute annual plans for targeted customers within assigned territories.
- Set regional sales strategy by monitoring KPIs and driving sustained out performance of quarterly targets.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive quarterly business reviews (internal and external) to implement necessary course corrections.
- Work collaboratively to ensure optimal account representation/coverage to achieve business goals.
- Business Development & Growth
- Direct pipeline management to drive new opportunities and close deals.
- Drive business growth by leveraging territory relationships and partnering with agent firms to identify and capture new business opportunities with major accounts and high-profile organizations.
- Forge and deepen executive relationships with key stakeholders to accelerate business development.
- Relationship Management & Conflict Resolution
- Lead effective resolution of internal and external business conflicts to achieve strategic outcomes.
- Foster alignment by coordinating with management teams across Eaton’s business units.
- Prepare and present sales reports to senior management.
- Analyze data to identify growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Educate and provide training on products, promotions, and training opportunities, including new products and market trends.
- Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum 7 years of experience in sales and/or marketing, including account prospecting, strategic selling, application development, and product solutions
- Possess a valid and unrestricted driver’s license
