The Educational Resource Consultant position is a sales position that sells PFM’s contracted product lines into the private school market primarily through the methods of phone and email communication. Some travel may be required periodically. You will be assigned a specific geographic territory and will be expected to achieve sales targets by servicing an existing base of accounts plus developing new account opportunities.

PFM will provide training on all product lines. This is either a full-time salaried position or part-time hourly position working out of the home office at 154 Milestone Way, Greenville, SC 29615.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain a heavy outbound calling schedule.
  • Maintain and grow an existing list of accounts.
  • Develop new accounts.
  • Understand each product line, pricing, terms and conditions.
  • Develop a solid sales presentation for each product line including viable responses to customer objections.
  • Enter or send orders to the appropriate contact.
  • Respond to emails and other communication as soon as possible.
  • Maintain records of all account activity within Salesforce.
  • Utilize Salesforce and Outlook to schedule follow-up conversations with Customers.
  • Participate and provide relevant feedback during team meetings.
  • Present products at School conferences – booth set up, sales, tear down and speaking where applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • General computer knowledge
  • Education experience preferred

  • Knowledge of the sales process and methodologies.
  • Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, time management, and self-motivational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and foster key relationships with customers, vendor partners, and team members.
  • Quick, adaptable learner.
Working Conditions, Mental, and Physical Demands
  • Requires the ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds (conference display, boxes for shipping, etc)
  • Substantial amount of time using a computer and viewing a monitor
  • Position involves extensive phone communication and regular virtual meetings with clients and team members.
