About Our Client
Our client has been a stable and growing business since 1988. The company recently grew its revenue from approximately $5.7 million to over $7 million this year, with an aggressive growth plan to reach $10 million next year. The culture emphasizes qualities like being a hunter, having no ego, productivity, and face-to-face communication. The sales team consists of four sales representatives plus a sales manager.
TheOpportunity
This is a critical, full-time, in-office position initially for training, and will transition into more remote based upon performance and ready to being an exceptional Prospector/Hunter. Additionally up to two days a week working remotely based upon location from the office. The position is vital to achieving aggressive sales growth and expanding the customer base. The company is motivated to fill the position quickly, aiming for a target start by first quarter.
The role requires managing a territory within a 60 to 75-mile radius around Tarpon Springs, FL.
The core function is sales for fire alarm and fire sprinkler systems, along with other low-voltage work. You will be expected to:
- Meet sales goals and commitments.
- Generate new business through personal contacts, general contractors, and face-to-face meetings.
- Manage a sales cycle typically ranging from one to six months.
- Work with an average deal price from $15,000 to $275,000.
- Write proposals and work closely with technical and operations teams to prepare accurate quotes.
- Manage accounts targeting medium-sized businesses such as assisted living, multifamily homes, healthcare facilities, and hotels under four stories tall.
The client has opened requirements to find a strong "hunter" regardless of industry background. They are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:
- Proven Sales Success: A track record in high-activity B2B sales (e.g., ADP, Cintas, or similar industrial/service industries).
- Strong Prospecting
Skills:
Ability to self-generate 50% of leads through aggressive business development. - No Ego / Team Player: A collaborative attitude focused on the company's long-term success rather than individual recognition.
- Professional Polish: Excellent grammar and above-average typing skills are required for writing professional proposals.
- Methodical Mindset: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple long-term deals simultaneously.
- Learning Agility: Quick to absorb technical fire safety codes and estimating processes.
