As we continue expanding throughout the Midwest, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Rental Lease Account Manager to join our team.

This position plays a key role in driving rental and leasing growth throughout the Indiana territory by building strong customer relationships, identifying new opportunities, and providing reliable, knowledgeable support to our clients.

About the Role

The Rental Lease Account Manager is responsible for generating new business, maintaining existing accounts, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. This individual will identify customer needs, propose rental and leasing solutions, and contribute to the overall growth and profitability of Trailer X-Press. This is a field‑based role with frequent in‑state travel throughout Ohio‑Southeast Michigan Territory

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, grow, and maintain a customer base within the assigned territory.
  • Research, prospect, and establish new customer relationships
  • Manage and service existing accounts to support retention and repeat business.
  • Track trailers on lease/rent and assist with the rental of excess equipment.
  • Work with the Credit Manager to review customer accounts and ensure compliance.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities, monitor competitors, and support pricing strategies.
  • Obtain customer orders and assist with contract execution.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, territory data, and customer documentation.
  • Submit weekly activity updates, monthly performance reviews, commission reports, and expense reports.
  • Investigate customer concerns, coordinate resolutions, and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal Trailer X-Press teams to support customer needs and operational goals.
  • Perform selected operational support tasks as needed.
  • Continue developing professional knowledge through training, networking, and industry involvement.
  • Plan and organize daily work independently while contributing positively as a team member.
Work Environment
  • Field‑based territory role with home office setup
  • Regular use of phone, laptop, and standard office equipment
  • Travel by car is required throughout Indiana

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered
  • 2–4 years of B2B sales or account management experience, ideally in rental, leasing, or capital equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to convert prospects into closed sales
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to work Monday‑Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with occasional extended hours
Preferred Skills
  • Strong customer service and relationship‑building skills
  • Experience with CRM software and data analysis tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Existing relationships within the territory or industry
  • Strong phone communication and cold‑calling skills
  • Ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • High attention to accuracy and follow‑through
