Customer Support Manager, Personal Care - Lambertville, New Jersey (Hybrid) - Mid Sized Manufacturer

Irving Knight has partnered with a market leader in the production of Scientifically Backed Preservatives and Actives (among other ingredients) to identify a Customer Support Manager. My client focuses on selling a wide range of Cosmetic Ingredients to customers such as CMOs, Indies, Multinational Brands and MLMs. Applicants should expect to visit the North American HQ in Lambertville 2-3 times per week.

This role will directly support the North American sales team, covering a range of tasks across sales, pricing, customer service, and logistics. • Reporting to the General Manager of North America, you will be solely responsible for supporting the North American sales team in achieving their goals through performing a wide range of tasks spanning across a variety of functions.
• Assume control of purchase orders, ensuring they are processed in a timely manner, also processing invoices to buying customers.
• Take responsibility for incoming customer calls and referring to the relevant Salesperson internally, whilst also striving to hit certain targets yourself, through upselling and renewing contracts.
• Ensure the sales pipeline runs smoothly, utilizing strong sales logistics and organizational skills.
• Utilize IT skills, ensuring all internal processes run smoothly and efficiently using a range of software.
• Promptly and politely deal with customer complaints, ensuring a quick and effective solution.
• Keep track of orders, ensuring everything is processed accurately and on time.
• Utilize data analytics skills to ensure optimal sales logistics performance and reporting findings to help improve processes.

• A technical degree (at least BSc) in Chemistry, Cosmetics or similar is not absolutely essential, but preferred.
• Absolute minimum of two years of experience working in the field of Specialty Chemicals or Cosmetic Ingredients.
• Absolute minimum of two years in a similar role (ideally in sales or customer service, but sales logistics candidates will be considered too).
• Self-motivated, high energy, and engaging level of enthusiasm and positive outlook.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to adapt communication style to the audience as needed.
• Software knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
