The Regional Sales Manager’s purpose is to prepare and execute all aspects of the sales cycle for the broad scope of products, services, and solutions to United States Government, Military, and associated customers; deliver and regularly exceed sales expectations; and position Seal Dynamics as a world‑class partner by embracing our values and balancing customer requirements with corporate objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities- Technically understand the functionality of all products and effectively sell them by differentiating over competition when possible.
- Develop sales plans and coordinate with Product Managers before meetings; after visits, construct a final report outlining findings, actions, and market intelligence.
- Routinely make sales calls and travel to customers for a minimum of 50% of their time.
- Execute tactical sales meetings at customer facilities, including Engineering Support, Defense Logistics Agencies, Program and Supply Chain Management offices, US Military Bases/Depots, Foreign Military Sales customers, Government Contracted MROs, etc.
- Develop relationships with a balanced cross‑section of customer contacts and decision makers across the outlined government facilities.
- Maintain appropriate relationships as customer organizations and contacts change.
- Constantly identify opportunities for existing SP products based on reliability, performance, availability, price, and other criteria.
- Promote Seal Dynamics as a partner to provide solutions.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by managing the entire sales process and the relationship between Seal Dynamics and customers.
- Monitor competitors and industry trends that impact buying decisions and present potential risks.
- Deliver sales presentations and collect information about the customer to assist in developing marketing plans and sales strategies to increase sales.
- Introduce Source Approval Request (SAR) opportunities and support SAR submissions through the approval process as required.
- Develop budgets and forecasts on a quarterly basis.
- Work with all functions of the organization to deliver results according to expectations.
- Collaborate with Product Managers and Strategic Partners to drive programs at selected customers using multiple approaches, including the CRM tool.
- Coordinate activities with Reps in the region where applicable.
- Engage in collection activities when accounts become past due in coordination with the Finance team.
- Keep up to date on industry and product trends.
- Help with projects related to the sales team.
- Respond to emails on the same day (within 24 hours when traveling).
- Work remotely from a home office.
- Master the tools available to manage sales activities.
- Continuously educate and expand knowledge of products and related systems.
- Maintain constant communication with all interested parties (external and internal).
- Highly motivated with a passion to achieve exceptional results.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Multilingual (Spanish) is highly desired.
- Sufficient knowledge of government defense platforms and general missions to link requirements to strategic partner requirements.
- Proven business and engineering acumen.
- Negotiation skills to address challenges and maximize profitability.
- General understanding of contracts, consortiums, and other transaction authorities to represent SD’s best interests.
