The Account Manager for Cytiva is responsible for growth and expansion of direct sales and profit margins within assigned accounts and/or territory/region on products or services. Establishes professional relationships with key personnel in customer accounts. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and margin dollars.
This position is part of the USCAN Commercial Bioprocess business located in North Carolina and will be fully remote from a home‑based office.
What you will do:- Own the customer relationship and accounts representing the entire Cytiva portfolio.
- Design and execute account‑specific business plans including customer goals, strategic initiatives, opportunity development, relationship mapping, and competitive threats.
- Lead account team through sales cycle from opportunity discovery through deal closure, while building strong business relationships with customers by earning deep trust and loyalty, driving alignment of their outcomes with Cytiva solutions resulting in mutually beneficial growth.
- Identify decision‑makers with assigned accounts and act as primary customer point of contact between customer and Cytiva to achieve annual and quarterly sales goals.
- Prepare proposals and quotations, initiate and plan customer visits at all levels of the account, and work with the product sales specialists in demonstrating the breadth and range of Cytiva capabilities.
- Educated with a bachelor’s degree or similar.
- Strong influencing, interpersonal and networking skills to drive collaborative culture at all levels with ability to learn the entire Cytiva portfolio.
- Experienced in effectively using CRM‑based tools (e.g., SFDC) and demonstrated sales skills as evidenced by previous sales responsibilities and business/account planning.
- High level presentation skills: able to present complex ideas to customers in a way that produces understanding and impact.
- Must have freedom to travel with minimal advanced notice and be available for travel of reasonable duration (up to 1 week) and up to 30% overnight stays.
- Valid motor vehicle license.
- Bachelor’s degree or greater in a life‑science related field.
- Proven ability to work within a matrixed team environment.
- Comfort in selling to all levels of a customer organization, including the C‑suite.
- Knowledge of Cytiva products and services offered – protein chromatography, cell culture, filtration. Previous life‑science experience.
- Familiarity with assigned accounts in territory.
