Overviewof the Role
- The Account Manager – H‑E‑B position is responsible for creating and executing an H‑E‑B specific sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales quotas and supports company revenue and profit targets. You will play a critical role in building sales for this key customer. If you love selling and building relationships, this could be the role for you!
- Success in this role looks like strong organizational skills and excellent communication. You will work with clients to build strong promotional plans, maintain shelf placement, and build connectivity with the customer.
- Location:
Remote – must be local to San Antonio, Texas. - Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 based on experience, qualifications and skills.
- Travel Requirements – Less than 10% to attend all major industry shows, client national sales meetings, and any other events that would be warranted; all other travel is within the assigned market.

- Create and execute an H‑E‑B sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales quotas and supports company revenue and profit targets.
- Meet regularly with existing customers to understand their evolving business needs and position product solutions to address those needs, provide all maintenance, new item submissions, and promotional support.
- Build long‑term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new customers & clients.
- Maintain consistent communication and timely follow‑up with customers and clients and be available and responsive to their real‑time needs.
- Work effectively and professionally with the company’s internal departments (Sales Development Team, Marketing, Insights, Client Services, Business Support Specialists & Accounts Receivable) and assure elite management of our clients’ and customers’ businesses.
- Attend all required national trade shows, market‑specific sales meetings, client‑specific sales meetings, or any other necessary functions as established by your supervisor.
- Guide clients through the total distribution process, including pricing and promotional strategy, new item introductions, logistics and supply chain, deduction management.
- Coordinate and prepare clients for top‑to‑top meetings and category business reviews with distributor partners.
- Direct clients and company personnel through the planning, preparation, and execution of distributors’ trade shows.
- Some experience calling on H‑E‑B preferred.
- Willingness to learn.
- Strong knowledge of the consumer products industry (specifically food products).
- Strong proficiency with all necessary computer‑based programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
