The Sales Specialist – Histology Instruments is responsible for developing and executing successful sales strategies for rapid revenue growth and market share expansion in territory. The role works collaboratively with Sales, Service and Applications counterparts to achieve Leica Biosystems performance targets while exceeding customer expectations. This position is part of the Sales team, fully remote within the assigned territory, and reports to the Sales Manager – Core Histology.
Responsibilities- Achieve annual product sales goals set for the territory while working in coordination with the local assigned team.
- Maintain accurate and timely opportunity funnel and customer data in with coaching as needed.
- Achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through delivery of sales and support assistance and coordinate product demo, installs, and customer training.
- Work with prospective and current customers to increase Leica Biosystems' influence and presence across territories.
- Monitor and develop awareness of competitive activities and strategies, utilizing Strategic Selling tools (Blue sheets) with mentorship and guidance.
- Deepen and leverage knowledge of Leica Biosystems products, tools, and the Danaher Business System.
- Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree OR equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 3+ years relevant sales experience (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven time management skills.
- Proven contract negotiation and high-level selling experience or selling in a matrixed environment.
- Experience with or other CRM software;
Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to travel 50‑75% overnight for territory coverage and/or for company meetings.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Prior capital sales experience.
The annual salary range for this role is $110,000 – $120,000; this range may be modified in the future. The job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
