Sales Support Specialist
Duration: 12-month contract (initial term)
Location: Remote
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Support Specialist to serve as an extension of the Cortex team, providing critical back-office operational support. In this role, you will help drive efficiency across sales operations by managing support requests with accuracy, urgency, and strong prioritization skills.
You will partner closely with Account Managers to ensure timely execution of sales support activities that contribute to revenue growth, customer relationship development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day back-office support to Account Managers and sales teams
- Prioritize incoming requests based on revenue impact, customer needs, and timing requirements
- Support IT ticket submissions and follow up to ensure timely resolution
- Assist with quote creation and quoting processes
- Conduct or support 1:1 enablement sessions with internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate documentation and updates within CRM and internal systems
- Coordinate across cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines and service expectations are met
- Support month-end and quarter-end sales activities as workload increases
- 2–3 years of experience in a sales support
, sales operations
, or similar environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple internal teams
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while managing multiple priorities simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work extended hours during month-end or quarter-end periods
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Docs)
- Experience using Salesforce or comparable CRM platforms
- Experience with CPQ systems strongly preferred (Steelbrick or other Configure-Price-Quote platforms)
- Prior experience supporting a network security company preferred; general IT industry experience acceptable
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
