What You Will DoIn this vital role you will be responsible for representing Amgen’s product KRYSTEXXA to physicians and health care professionals, establishing product sales, and managing the entire territory. You will also provide account management support to nephrology accounts in a specific geography.
- Develop a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve sales goals.
- Promote KRYSTEXXA within approved labeling in an ethical manner.
- Develop strong customer relationships, understanding their needs.
- Serve as a resource for customers and Amgen staff regarding payer policies, reimbursement, Medicare/Medicaid rules, and compliance.
- Consistently meet or exceed corporate sales goals.
- Communicate territory activity accurately and timely.
- Provide feedback to leadership and internal departments.
- Adhere to compliance policies and guidelines including the PhRMA code.
- Complete all Amgen training classes.
- Manage administrative duties accurately and timely.
- Operate within budget constraints and maximize approved resources.
- Collaborate across all divisions within the GBU.
- Attend medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
- Perform other tasks as requested by management.
The Specialty Account Manager must be a motivated professional with the following qualifications.
Basic Qualifications- Doctorate degree and 2 years of collective account management experience, sales and commercial experience.
- Masters degree and 6 years of collective account management experience, sales and commercial experience.
- Bachelors degree and 8 years of collective account management experience, sales and commercial experience.
- Associate degree and 10 years of collective account management experience, sales and commercial experience.
- Minimum 2 years sales experience in the nephrology therapeutic area.
- Buy and bill experience and success strongly preferred.
- Biologic or biotech sales and reimbursement experience strongly preferred.
- Nephrology therapeutic area experience strongly preferred.
- Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks preferred.
- Experience working in a team environment that partners with all Commercial Operations functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Professional, proactive demeanor.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills.
- Approximately 20–30% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.

What You Can Expect Of UsThe expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $173,255–$203,801.
