We're now seeking an experienced marketing or advertising agency new business development salesperson to help propel our next stage of growth.
As our New Business Development Sales Executive, you will be responsible for owning the full sales cycle - from prospecting and first meetings all the way through to proposal, close, and ongoing relationship handoff.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Has significant experience selling marketing/advertising agency services
- Brings an extensive contact list of prospects and previous clients
- Loves to prospect, pitch, and close - and wants to build something long-term
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively identify, prospect, and qualify new business opportunities with brands that can benefit from Purplegator's services
- Leverage your existing network and contact list to re-engage former clients and warm relationships
- Conduct discovery calls and meetings to deeply understand client needs, challenges, and goals
- Collaborate with internal teams to shape compelling proposals, presentations, and scopes of work
- Lead the sales process end-to-end - from initial outreach to negotiation and deal close
- Maintain a healthy, transparent pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting
- Represent Purplegator at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities (as appropriate)
- Provide feedback from the marketplace to help refine Purplegator's offerings and positioning
- 3+ years of proven success in new business development for a marketing, advertising, or digital agency
- Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets
- A strong, active Rolodex of decision-makers and influencers (CMOs, marketing directors, business owners, etc.)
- Comfort selling complex marketing solutions (digital, mobile, social, creative, traditional, etc.)
- Excellent presentation, communication, and consultative selling skills
- Self-starter mentality with the ability to work independently in a primarily work-from-home environment
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously
- A niche vertical specialty (e.g., healthcare, retail, staffing/recruitment, education, franchise, etc.) and a track record of selling into that industry
- Experience helping an agency grow rapidly or expand into new markets
