Through the consortium, we license‑in, develop and commercialize safety‑enabling technologies and accelerate adoption. Role Overview

Reports To: Amy Brinson, VP of Ecosystem & Brand

Location: 1 Research Drive, Suite 120, Greenville, SC 29607

Position Type: Full-time 40 hours/week (M-F 8:00 am – 5:00 pm). Soteria offers flexibility with some staff working from home on Wednesdays & Fridays as appropriate.

The Consortium is the backbone of Soteria. It fuels our innovation pipeline, strengthens our licensing platform, informs our product development, and drives alignment across the battery industry. As our ecosystem grows, so does the opportunity to expand its impact.

The Consortium Manager will be responsible for growing and engaging Soteria’s ecosystem through relationship‑driven business development. This role engages prospective member companies, guides them through the membership and licensing journey, and clearly articulates the strategic value of participation. In addition to driving new membership growth, the Consortium Manager deepens engagement among existing members by connecting them to relevant projects and collaboration opportunities.

The ideal candidate is relationship‑driven and motivated by building long‑term partnerships that translate into measurable industry impact.

Key Responsibilities

Member Prospecting & Recruitment:

  • Identify and research prospective member companies across the battery value chain.
  • Manage a structured outreach pipeline, including introductory calls, follow‑ups, and long‑term relationship cultivation.
  • Participate in discovery conversations to understand prospective members’ goals and explore how Soteria can support them through Consortium participation.
  • Guide prospects through the membership decision‑making and onboarding process.
  • Represent Soteria and relevant industry conferences and events to generate new relationships and opportunities.

Networking Engagement & Business Development:

  • Proactively connect members to relevant projects, events, and collaboration opportunities.
  • Support retention efforts through regular check‑ins and value‑driven engagement.
  • Gather insights from members to inform Soteria initiatives and the Consortium’s strategic growth.
  • Help position Consortium participation as a strategic advantage for members to utilize to achieve their goals.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or similar field
  • 2-5 years previous relationship‑driven sales or business development experience
  • Strong networking and communication skills, with desire to build long‑lasting customer relationships
  • Willingness to learn a new technical area and ability to become fluent in discussing basic technical features of batteries and applications that use batteries.
  • Experience working with and maintaining a CRM system to track pipeline activity and engagement preferred
  • Organized and detail‑oriented, with ability to manage multiple prospects simultaneously
  • Self‑motivated and curious with interest in learning technical subject matter
  • Ability to travel to industry events and customers as relevant (~20%)
