OverviewHospitality Sales Manager - The Oasis at Death Valley - Xanterra Travel Collections. The Oasis at Death Valley operates two hotels, restaurants, gift shops, and the world’s lowest elevation golf course. Our historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch offer guests a variety of accommodations. Both hotels have swimming pools that are open annually and are fed from naturally warm local springs.
The Oasis is looking for an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join the team. This remote role is responsible for driving group and transient revenue through proactive sales efforts in key feeder markets, with a primary focus on Southern California. Based in Los Angeles, this role is accountable for developing new business, growing existing accounts, and positioning The Oasis at Death Valley as a premier destination for meetings, incentives, events, and group travel.
This is a revenue‑focused role centered on direct selling, relationship management, and pipeline development in alignment with property and corporate goals.
- Proactively solicit and secure group and transient business for The Oasis at Death Valley across assigned markets.
- Manage a portfolio of active accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities in corporate, incentives, SMERF, weddings, and leisure group segments.
- Execute targeted sales plans to meet or exceed assigned revenue goals, room night targets, and production metrics.
- Maintain a strong, consistent sales presence through in‑person calls, virtual appointments, site visits, and client entertainment.
- Represent The Oasis at Death Valley at select trade shows, sales missions, and industry events focused on revenue generation.
- Own assigned territory and feeder markets, with responsibility for account strategy, solicitation cadence, and production results.
- Identify new market opportunities and accounts to drive demand during shoulder and need periods.
- Collaborate with on‑property sales and conference services teams to ensure seamless transition from sale to execution.
- Maintain accurate sales activity, account details, and pipeline reporting in designated CRM and sales systems.
- Provide regular performance updates against established goals.
- Operate independently with a high level of accountability, organization, and time management.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships that support long‑term revenue growth.
- Perform additional sales‑related duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 3‑5 years of proven hotel or destination resort sales experience, with a strong focus on group and/or corporate sales.
- Demonstrated success in proactive, market‑based sales roles with measurable revenue results.
- Experience selling meetings, events, and destination group travel strongly preferred.
- Prior experience selling resort or national park destinations a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
- Ability to work independently while managing a remote territory and meeting production goals.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems; experience with Delphi, Sales Pro, or similar hotel sales platforms preferred.
- Must be based in the Los Angeles market and able to travel regularly within the region and to the property.
- Remote‑based position in Los Angeles with frequent regional travel and periodic travel to The Oasis at Death Valley.
