Job Title: Sales Executive

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview

A well-established logistics organization is seeking a driven Sales Executive to develop new business across domestic transportation and freight brokerage services. This role covers the full sales lifecycle, including prospecting, client discovery, pricing, negotiations, closing, and seamless handoff to operations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced brokerage environment, brings strong carrier and shipper relationships, and consistently generates profitable revenue while ensuring long‑term account retention.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a strong, revenue‑generating pipeline across your assigned region.
  • Leverage an existing book of business to deliver consistent and scalable monthly gross profit.
  • Sell a wide range of domestic transportation services including Full Truckload, LTL, Refrigerated, Dry Van, Flatbed, and specialized OTR solutions.
  • Source, qualify, and close new shipper accounts through cold outreach, referrals, lead follow‑up, and strategic prospecting.
  • Conduct discovery calls to understand each customer’s supply chain needs and build customized transportation solutions.
  • Prepare and present competitive pricing, quotes, and proposals.
  • Negotiate terms, secure freight awards, and transition new accounts to operations for execution.
  • Maintain accurate CRM documentation, update pipeline activity, and provide reliable revenue forecasting.
  • Collaborate closely with carrier sales, dispatch, and operations teams to ensure exceptional service delivery and customer retention.
Requirements
  • 3–7+ years of successful sales experience in freight brokerage, OTR trucking, or 3PL environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistent quota attainment and GP growth.
  • Portable book of business with no active non‑compete restrictions.
  • Deep understanding of domestic trucking markets and carrier capacity.
  • Strong hunter mentality with the ability to open, build, and scale new accounts.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a performance‑driven environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and data‑driven sales planning.
