Freight Broker

Base + Bonus Range: $55,000 – $75,000 (depending on experience)

We are looking to add a reliable, experienced Freight Broker to our team. This is not a sales role — no cold calling, no prospecting. You will focus entirely on what you do best: coordinating freight, building carrier relationships, and ensuring our customers' loads are covered and moving on time.

• Handle day-to-day load coordination for established customer freight
• Source and vet qualified carriers to cover freight
• Negotiate rates with carriers to maintain competitive margins
• Create shipments and generate shipping documents accurately and on time
• Monitor loads from pickup through delivery and proactively communicate any issues
• Provide professional, responsive customer service to shippers and carriers alike
• Work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple loads simultaneously
• Use your skills to quote and capture trucking opportunities
• Maintain accurate records and updates within our TMS
• Innovation and ideas are welcomed and rewarded — we strive to constantly improve our product and processes
• There is the potential to learn other transportation modes and new skills if interested.
• Back-end support already in place lets you focus on booking loads, no billing or freight claims involvement

• 1–2+ years of hands‑on freight brokerage operations experience (required)
• Demonstrated ability to vet, negotiate with, and manage carrier relationships
• Experience creating shipments and BOLs in a brokerage environment
• Strong customer service skills — professional, clear, and responsive
• Good work ethic and a positive, team‑oriented attitude
• Local candidates only — relocation assistance is not available for this position

• Salary + Bonus: $55,000 – $75,000 depending on experience
• Quarterly profit‑sharing bonus eligibility based on individual and team results

• Extremely flexible Monday – Friday schedule; no weekends or holidays. No after‑hours work is required.
• On call work is offered for additional pay for those who desire it
• Primarily on‑site in St. Louis; occasional remote work may be approved
• Commission available for existing transferable business
