Solar Sales & Applications Specialist

Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day work from home)

Compensation: $40,000/a year
Role OverviewThe Solar Sales & Applications Specialist is responsible for qualifying leads, supporting solar sales efforts, and facilitating the completion of solar PV customer applications. This role works closely with customers, internal sales teams, and operations to ensure deals move efficiently from initial contact through contract execution and enrollment.
Key Responsibilities Sales Development & Lead Qualification- Conduct outreach to residential, commercial, and industrial customers to introduce Polaron’s solar PV solutions.
- Convert leads into qualified meetings and opportunities through effective sales conversations.
- Follow up with leads, prospects, and pitched customers to move opportunities toward signed agreements.
- Assist in delivering sales presentations and explaining Polaron’s solar offerings to potential customers.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, lead interactions, and customer communications.
- Facilitate the completion of solar customer applications from signed agreement through submission to project management.
- Collect required supporting documentation and ensure contracts are properly completed and executed.
- Secure payments from customers using the company’s designated secure payment links.
- Submit signed or reaffirmed contracts on a regular basis along with all required documentation for regulatory enrollment.
- Ensure all information is accurately captured to support project onboarding and regulatory requirements.
- Provide post-sale support to customers throughout the application and onboarding process.
- Assist customers in understanding their site assessment reports and solar system proposals where required.
- Address customer inquiries and escalate any disputes or issues to management when necessary.
- Ensure all sales activity complies with company policies, pricing structures, and supplier partner terms.
- Communicate all product information and pricing accurately without misrepresentation.
- Use company approved materials, proposals, and documentation formats unless otherwise authorized.
- Adhere to all applicable provincial and federal regulations governing energy and consumer sales.
- Report customer complaints, disputes, or operational issues promptly to the company.
- Maintain organized records of customer information, sales activities, and deal status.
- Manage availability for booked meetings, applications, and follow‑up calls.
- Update calendars and availability to support scheduling and operational coordination.
- Strong communication and customer engagement skills
- Sales experience or strong interest in renewable energy sales
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deals and customer conversations simultaneously
- Comfortable working in a fast paced, performance driven environment
- Experience with CRM systems or sales tracking tools is an asset
