Position: Regional Sales Manager - nVent CADDY/GARDNER BENDER (Commercial)

Position Overview

We’re looking for strategic sales professionals to serve as the Commercial Regional Sales Manager for the Pacific Northwest USA Market. This role will lead demand creation, product expertise, and revenue growth for the CADDY and Gardner Bender brands within the Electrical Connections business.

What You Will Experience
  • Sales Growth: Achieve sales goals by maintaining existing business and converting new business, focusing on breadth and depth of product offering.
  • Sales Strategy and Execution: Develop a multi‑year sales strategy and tactical plan to acquire new customers, end users, and projects within the territory.
  • Leadership and Management: Coach and develop a high‑performing third‑party agent sales team across geography and channels, ensuring understanding and acceptance of territory strategy, pricing, joint calls, and business development.
  • Customer & Field Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, distribution partners, and industry collaborators; serve as a customer advocate and represent nVent at industry events and forums.
  • Product Expertise: Provide product expertise through training, technical presentations, and on‑site support; highlight value proposition with key contractors and distributors.
  • Quote and Solution Assistance: Support agent opportunities and proposals, including seismic protection and prefabrication.
  • Revenue and Profitability: Lead quotes, pricing, and critical metrics to ensure profitability; analyze sales data to uncover trends and improvement areas.
  • Cross‑Functional

    Collaboration:

    Partner with Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Pricing, and Operations to align sales initiatives with business objectives.
  • Sales Operations: Utilize CRM platforms such as Salesforce to manage opportunity pipeline and communicate feedback internally.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent outside sales experience.
  • Ideally 5+ years of outside sales and/or territory sales management experience in the commercial or industrial space with electrical products; experience leading third‑party sales agencies is helpful.
  • Ability to work remotely from a home office in the sales region and travel approximately 60% of the time throughout WA, OR, MT, Northern , Western WY, and AK, with overnight trips expected.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate confidently with both technically trained and non‑technical customers.
  • Strong preference for technical sales and value‑based selling skills.
  • Commercial and electrical contractor sales knowledge.
  • High‑level organizational and time‑management skills; ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools.
  • Physically capable of navigating construction project sites and holding a valid driver’s license.

Pay Transparency

nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of total target cash pay for this role and the employee’s work location. Total target cash is comprised of an employee’s base salary and sales incentive target opportunity, when annual sales goals are achieved.

Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance.

Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.

Depending on the position offered, employees may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
