Position SummaryThe Senior Therapeutic Area Specialist, Cardiovascular Community (Colorado) is a field‑based role that creates demand and drives adoption of BMS cardiovascular medicines. The TAS engages health‑care providers (HCPs), builds strong relationships with regional thought leaders and community physicians, and collaborates across BMS functions to deliver a science‑driven customer experience. The role prioritizes safe, appropriate use of products while meeting sales targets and upholding BMS values.
Key Responsibilities- Promote approved indications of BMS cardiovascular products within assigned territory, meeting or exceeding sales targets in a compliant manner.
- Establish and maintain demand for BMS medicines through scientifically balanced dialogue with HCPs, using approved resources and publications.
- Develop, execute, and update comprehensive territory and account plans that align with strategy and insights from CE³.
- Provide scientific presentations, lunch‑and‑learn sessions, and speaker‑program logistics to HCPs.
- Support HCPs with real‑time medical assistance via Medical on Call and play a role in advanced scientific discussions.
- Collaborate with field, medical, and business partners to create a unified customer experience and share actionable insights internally.
- Ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and BMS policies governing conduct.
- Advanced scientific degree (Ph.D., MD, or equivalent) or 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in health‑care sales, MSL, nursing, or related roles.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate scientific data accurately and convince HCPs for optimal patient care.
- Track record of building professional credibility with key customers, office staff, and other stakeholders.
- Experience in cardiovascular therapies preferred.
- Strong account‑management and selling competencies with proven sales performance.
- Positive cross‑functional teamwork mindset and can‑do attitude.
- Customer‑centric commercial mindset with commitment to driving business results.
- Expertise in engaging, cultivating credibility across the patient care journey.
- Problem‑solving, analytical, and data‑driven insight generation.
- Digital proficiency with CE³, CRM tools, and communication platforms for timely, compliant data capture.
- Teamwork and enterprise mindset with integrity and judgment to navigate complex situations.
- Operation of a company‑provided vehicle is required; must meet qualified driver criteria (≥21 years, valid driver’s license, acceptable risk level).
- Field‑based: 100 % of time spent engaging external customers.
Compensation range: $124,090 – $150,370 (U.S.) plus potential incentive cash and stock options. Benefits include health, dental, vision, 401(k), disability, life insurance, and paid time off. Remote work options are available based on role requirements.
