WORK TYPE

Full-time Hybrid – Must live and travel 2-5 days per week in the territory.

COMPENSATION

The base draw is $55,000–$65,000 annually plus performance-based incentives. Salary may vary based on education, experience, qualifications, location, internal equity, and market alignment.

Boston, MA

  • The position operates in a hybrid environment between a home office, school, community, and event environments (home office and field-based).
  • Territory sales – must reside locally full-time to manage client relationships and maximize sales opportunities.
WORK HOURS

Hours may vary based on customer needs; evenings and weekends may be required.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

Primarily local to schools and organizations within the territory (2–5+ days a week); some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

The Field Sales Professional will consultatively partner with schools, club select and travel programs, youth leagues, YMCA organizations, and other community-based athletic programs. The role drives full‑cycle sales execution—from proactive prospecting and lead generation to account management and post‑sale service—while delivering best‑in‑class support that simplifies operations for coaches and program leaders.

By leveraging CRM tools, data insights, and disciplined territory planning, the Field Sales Professional will identify growth opportunities, expand multi‑sport penetration, and build a strong pipeline of new business.

Through consistent in‑person engagement, strong relationship management, and adherence to the highest ethical standards, the professional will position BSN Sports as a trusted, long‑term partner for athletic programs at every level.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Provide best‑in‑class consultative customer service to coaches across the territory and do everything possible to make their lives easier.
  • Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
  • Actively develop and qualify leads through cold‑calling and lead generation campaigns.
  • Demonstrate resilience to handle rejection and persistence to turn challenges into opportunities.
  • Navigate multiple functions within the company’s CRM to support sales and customer relationship efforts.
  • Increase sales in existing accounts across all sports and levels.
  • Utilize data‑driven business intelligence to identify new trends and opportunities.
  • Manage account list and travel within the assigned territory.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Demonstrate high level of self‑direction and autonomy, managing tasks, projects, and responsibilities efficiently and independently.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Prioritize and manage tasks with strong time‑management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM.
  • Cultivate a distraction‑free home office environment.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) or coaching/sports‑related background.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Must have reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • This hybrid position requires prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and driving on a regular basis.
