Overview

C.H. Robinson is hiring an Associate Portfolio Executive to build and manage a customer portfolio while developing long‑term, trusted relationships. In this role, you will leverage AI‑powered tools to simplify quoting, planning, and scheduling so you can focus on selling, problem‑solving, and growing revenue. You will operate with autonomy while being backed by the scale, technology, and credibility of a global supply chain leader.

Responsibilities
  • Build and grow a portfolio of customers, strengthening relationships and uncovering needs to convert opportunities into active business.
  • Re‑engage dormant accounts and expand within existing customers to increase volume, revenue, and wallet share.
  • Own day‑to‑day customer interactions by responding quickly to questions, managing exceptions and escalations, and resolving conflict professionally.
  • Coordinate with carriers, suppliers, and internal partners to meet customer commitments and service expectations.
  • Quote and price freight, applying negotiation skills, market insight, and customer buying patterns to execute pricing strategy.
  • Plan, build, and execute shipments (with AI agent support) aligned to customer expectations.
  • Identify account growth potential and cultivate transactional relationships into more committed, repeatable partnerships supported by business development resources.
  • Use data, reporting, and market/customer updates to uncover service and growth opportunities and inform daily priorities.
  • Improve work processes by adopting new tools and technology, identifying automation opportunities, and documenting and following SOPs.
  • Operate with urgency and a team‑first mindset by supporting teammates’ customers when needed and contributing in daily/weekly stand‑ups.
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 6 months of customer engagement experience, internal or external.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem‑solving.
  • Demonstrated negotiation, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Values a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Work Arrangement

In‑office presence is required four days per week, with remote work permitted one day per week.

Compensation

$19.23 - $38.47

The base pay range displayed on the job posting reflects the minimum and maximum base pay for this specific location. Your individual base pay within this range is determined by job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
