Summary
This position is for a Regional Sales Manager responsible for the Midwestern region (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas). The role focuses on developing and executing growth strategies for commercial laundry distributors and route operators. The manager will grow revenue, share, and volume while collaborating across multiple functions within the unique Whirlpool business unit.
Responsibilities- Develop a distribution plan for the region with individual strategies per customer, territory, and segment.
- Leverage experience in all three industry segments (Vended/Coin, OPL, and Multi‑housing/Route).
- Develop and sustain key relationships with existing and potential new customers.
- Create a go‑to‑market plan across touchpoints to deliver multi‑year growth plans.
- Immerse in product training and provide in‑depth sales trainings in the market.
- Collaborate with marketing and brand teams for successful go‑to‑market plans.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development on feature/product feedback and market‑needs assessment and launches.
- Be a team player among a North American sales team, sharing best practices and leveraging diverse experiences.
- Become a learner and leader in laundry trade associations.
- Travel extensively across the large Midwestern region covering multiple states.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- 5+ years of sales experience in the commercial laundry industry.
- Technical selling experience.
