About the Role
Responsible for selling Canon's hardware and software technology-based solutions to companies within an assigned account list. This role requires living within a reasonable commuting distance to Austin, TX to adequately execute job responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Develop strategies to penetrate accounts with key decision makers at the Major Account level, focusing on placing Canon equipment and solutions in new accounts.
- Report customer activity to management, identifying customer requirements, competitive trends, and changing environments.
- Develop strategic plans to address customer requirements on a local basis, including short-term and long-term goals.
- Provide marketing, technical, and administrative support to named account internal departments to ensure outstanding relations and excellent customer support in all facets of daily activity.
- Develop plans to introduce and place Canon technology, service, software, and third‑party solutions to address customer requirements.
- Establish high‑level relationships with the customer base to enhance long‑term working partnerships.
- Gain new market share through strategic prospecting and the ability to meet customer requirements by utilizing all available resources efficiently.
- Bachelor's degree required, plus 5 years of related experience.
- Recent experience in office technology, business‑to‑business, outside sales.
- Strong communication skills; desire to build solid working relationships with a variety of businesses.
- Interest in learning new technology in an evolving industry.
- Ability to work autonomously and excellent time‑management skills.
- Some travel required within local market, may include overnights. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record necessary.
Anticipated base salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually. Eligible for incentive compensation under applicable plan or policy. Eligible for transportation allowance.
Workstyle DescriptionFull‑time position offering a hybrid work schedule. Requires reporting to local office as directed by management and availability to customers in person or remotely as dictated by customer needs. Option to work from home on other business days, except where business needs dictate otherwise.
