Job Type

Full-time hybrid – must live and travel 2‑5 days per week in the territory.

Compensation

The base draw range is $55,000‑$65,000 annually plus performance‑based incentives. The base salary varies by education, experience, location, and market alignment.

Location

Germantown, MD 20874. The position operates in a hybrid environment between home office, schools, community, and event settings.

Hours

Work hours may vary based on customer needs. Evenings and weekends may be required.

Travel

Primary travel is local to schools and organizations within the territory (2‑5+ days a week). Occasional out‑of‑area and overnight travel may be expected.

Overview

The Field Sales Professional serves as a consultative partner to schools, clubs, youth leagues, YMCA organizations, and other community‑based athletic programs, driving full‑cycle sales execution—from prospecting and lead generation to account management and post‑sale service.

Responsibilities
  • Provide best‑in‑class consultative customer service to coaches across an assigned territory.
  • Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
  • Actively develop and qualify leads within the territory through cold‑calling and lead‑generation campaigns.
  • Show resilience in handling rejection and persist in turning challenges into opportunities.
  • Navigate the company’s CRM for prospecting, account management, and activity tracking to support sales and customer relationship efforts.
  • Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
  • Utilize data‑driven business intelligence on prospects to identify new trends and opportunities.
  • Manage the account list and travel on location within the assigned territory.
Qualifications
  • High level of self‑direction and autonomy in managing tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage tasks, demonstrating strong time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM.
  • Maintain a distraction‑free home office environment.
Education & Experience
  • 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) or coaching/sports‑related background.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
