Position Title: Territory Sales Manager
Location: Remote – Illinois
Our client is a leading provider of pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) solutions serving the agricultural, commercial, and industrial sectors. With decades of experience and a strong reputation for quality, durability, and innovation, they deliver customized building systems designed to support critical operations across North America.
This is a high-impact opportunity to establish and grow market presence for a respected line of pre-engineered steel buildings across the Upper Midwest.
The Territory Sales Manager will focus on developing new business, expanding dealer and contractor networks, and building long-term relationships with both contractors and end users.
This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a project-based, technical sales environment and is motivated to build a territory, influence key decision-makers, and drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, recruit, and develop new dealer and contractor partners within the assigned territory
- Conduct sales presentations and product demonstrations to dealers, contractors, and end users
- Provide training and ongoing support on metal building systems, applications, and sales strategies
- Collaborate with customers to develop tailored building solutions based on project specifications
- Actively manage and grow territory performance to maximize market potential
- Drive new business through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events
- Develop detailed and accurate quote requests, drawings, and specifications to support project bids
- Partner with internal teams (engineering, estimating, operations) to deliver effective solutions
- Work closely with leadership to identify and capitalize on market opportunities
- Execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers across construction, operations, and procurement
- Maintain a high level of customer service and follow-through throughout the sales cycle
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
- 2–4+ years of sales or customer-facing experience, preferably within construction, building systems, or capital equipment
- Experience with pre-engineered metal buildings (PEMB), steel structures, or related industries strongly preferred
- Proven ability to build and manage dealer or distribution networks
- Strong understanding of project-based sales, territory management, and market development
- Experience with Metal Building Software (MBS) is a plus
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout the territory, with occasional extended travel for meetings and trade shows
