Job Description
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) focuses on the Federal Government as an extension of the Field Sales organization. The role generates qualified sales opportunities through responding to marketing‑generated leads, inbound interest, and targeted outbound prospecting. In close collaboration with Account Executives, the SDR establishes prospecting plans for strategic accounts to uncover new business and grow existing customers. The SDR also manages small deals and renewals within their assigned territories.
Responsibilities- Generate qualified sales opportunities by responding to marketing‑generated leads, inbound interest, and targeted outbound prospecting.
- Collaborate with Account Executives to establish prospecting plans for strategic accounts to uncover new business and grow existing customers.
- Manage small deals and renewals within assigned territories.
- Engage and establish rapport with executives and line‑of‑business professionals.
- Make 50+ dials daily; manage a high‑volume territory with numerous leads.
- Prioritize and manage multiple work streams while handling objections and rejection.
- Thrive in a competitive team environment; be self‑directed and systematic.
- 1 year of B2B enterprise software telesales or business development experience; federal space experience preferred.
- Consultative and solution prospecting/selling expertise.
- Experience nurturing and qualifying marketing leads.
- History of effectively managing a large territory, high volume of leads, and building/maintaining relationships.
- Superior written and oral communication and presentation skills.
- Experience conducting account mapping and developing prospecting strategy.
- Ability to thrive in a competitive team environment; intuitive with capacity to hit the ground running.
- Self‑directed, systematic but flexible; can prioritize and manage multiple work streams.
- College degree.
- Experience prospecting and selling enterprise software solutions, business intelligence, or analytics software.
Base salary of $80,000 OTE with a 70/30 split. Variable compensation is based on lead conversion, pipeline generation, and quota attainment.
