In this role, you will be responsible for calling on Facility Managers, Security Directors, IT Directors, and Construction and Planning Departments within an end‑user account. You will partner with local selling partners including wholesalers, integrators, locksmiths, and distributors to maximize positive impact with end‑user accounts. Your focus will be on relationship and technical solution selling within the commercial construction, multi‑family, and property management market segments to gain approval for the product lines represented by Door Security Solutions.
KeyAreas of Contribution
- Communicate effectively with a variety of decision makers and influencers including locksmiths, facility managers, IT networking managers, and executives.
- Develop short‑ and long‑term sales plans and identify and classify the sales potential of each client.
- Establish a network of clients with a high level of trust, developing relationships quickly and easily.
- Sell opening solutions as a consultant using a communication approach that can be effective with a diverse audience.
- Apply discovery abilities including prospecting, profiling, qualifying, identifying client needs, and presenting solutions.
- Entrepreneurial spirit and excitement about selling a full range of door opening solutions.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, with strong follow‑up habits.
- Self‑motivated and proud of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communicator, active listener, negotiator; ability to work independently and in teamwork.
- Ability to read, understand specifications/facility standards, with industry‑related technical and sales aptitude.
- Ability to travel up to 50% and meet customer requirements.
- Ability to perform responsibilities both in a home office environment and while traveling.
- Physical capability to lift/carry up to 50lb of sample and display material for sale presentations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
- Working knowledge of industry‑related software is a plus.
- College/University degree (preference for specialization in architectural design/engineering, construction science/management, or similar); or work experience commensurate with a minimum of high school/GED diploma.
- Minimum 2–3years of sales experience, with building material or construction‑related experience preferred.
The wage range for this role is $65K–$100K and considers a broad scope of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions. Pay within each range is based on a variety of factors including primary work job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications, business requirements, geographic location and other business and organizational needs. This salary range is a reasonable estimate for this position at the time of posting.
