This is a unique opportunity to join our growing Screening and Early Detection commercial team at Guardant Health as a field-based Account Executive. You’ll collaborate closely with sales leadership to shape go‑to‑market strategies and launch groundbreaking cancer screening technologies that will directly impact patients’ lives.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve sales targets consistently through effective prospecting, relationship-building, and execution of national sales strategies.
- Target and engage healthcare providers in primary care settings, securing commitment to adopt Guardant Health’s Shield colorectal cancer (CRC) blood test.
- Employ challenger‑selling techniques to understand provider needs and demonstrate how our solutions improve patient outcomes and practice efficiency.
- Educate and support providers, ensuring smooth integration of Shield into their workflow and gaining stakeholder support beyond the primary clinician.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (clinical, marketing, product) to align strategies, share feedback, and execute cohesive business plans.
- Identify new business opportunities and collaborate with regional and local laboratories to expand reach and secure phlebotomy draw agreements.
- Plan and execute product launch activities in line with brand strategies to support the introduction of new screening technologies.
- Monitor competitive landscape, analyze market trends and customer feedback, and report insights to leadership.
- Provide high‑touch customer service, resolving issues proactively and supporting providers throughout the sales process.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations while managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Minimum 4years of customer‑facing sales experience in the healthcare industry (diagnostics, medical device, or pharmaceutical), or 2years of sales experience combined with direct clinical experience (RN or PA).
- Proven record of success and achievement in similar roles.
- Experience with diagnostic products, particularly blood‑based testing or cancer screening, and familiarity with primary‑care providers is preferred.
- Strong selling skills – ability to engage in conversations, overcome objections, and align client needs with product offerings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information understandably.
- Proficiency with CRM systems such as Salesforce, Veeva, or similar platforms.
- High‑touch customer service and relationship‑building skills with a focus on long‑term partnership.

- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel daily within assigned territory and occasional national travel for meetings.
Annualized base salary: $116,000–$133,000. Hybrid work model: employees residing within 50miles of a Guardant facility will be required to work onsite on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays; other employees are eligible for remote work days.
