Job Overview
Cox Fleet is seeking a Trailer Rental Sales Representative. The role focuses on selling and managing a fleet of trailers and endorsements to new and existing customers within a geographic region.
Responsibilities- Obtain sales through preparation of price quotations and proposals.
- Develop quarterly sales plans by customer to direct and maintain profits.
- Research and identify revenue and profit opportunities in the market.
- Provide support to trailer sales, parts, and service by maintaining customer satisfaction and promoting all company offerings.
- Maintain call reports, customer profiles, and marketing surveys.
- Advise management on inventory levels to ensure customer requirements.
- Participate in vendor training and product line training sessions.
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with suppliers, manufacturers, customers, and co‑workers.
- Develop knowledge of product specifications, features, benefits, and advantages across all product lines.
- Participate in weekly and annual sales meetings.
- Achieve CRM expectations through customer and prospecting activities.
- Oversee and maintain fleet condition; coordinate preventative service and handle breakdowns.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline and 2 years of related experience (or equivalent combination).
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Ability to travel within the region and work in the office three days a week.
Preferred:
- Experience in trucking/fleet sales.
- Full‑cycle direct B2B sales experience with a proven high‑volume track record.
- Ability to sell service agreements and operate across multiple states.
- Strong self‑discipline and autonomy managing a large book of business.
- Computer competency with Microsoft Office and Salesforce.
- Process orientation, structured approach, strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Competitive base salary range: $62,000 – $93,000.
- Annual incentive/commission target.
