Position Overview

Siemens, a global powerhouse in electrical and electronic engineering, is looking for a seasoned sales engineer with experience selling low voltage and medium voltage power distribution products in the Charlotte, NC market.

Role Description

You’ll make an impact by selling low‑ and medium‑voltage power distribution and power control solutions within the Charlotte, NC construction market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships and clear communication with electrical contractors and distributor partners
  • Cultivate a healthy sales pipeline by uncovering new opportunities, following up on leads and managing existing customer base
  • Develop and implement account plans that exceed expectations in revenue retention/growth, account profitability, and customer satisfaction/loyalty
  • Provide guidance around the application/use of electrical distribution equipment in construction projects within North Carolina
  • Provide subject matter expertise and thought leadership with electrical distributors and contractors
  • Work in close collaboration with project internal estimators/bid coordinators to deliver timely project quotations
  • Work both alone and with project managers to identify, develop, and execute project deliverables as required to exceed customer expectations
  • Work closely with business units and manufacturing plant liaisons to ensure timely delivery of necessary project deliverables
  • Collaborate with other Siemens Smart Infrastructure businesses to present, sell, and deliver comprehensive Siemens solutions
  • Maximize the utility and ensure accuracy of Siemens CRM (Sie Sales) to develop, forecast, track, and communicate project opportunities

Product sales responsibilities include:
Panel boards, Switchboards, Medium Voltage switch gear, lighting panels, low voltage switch gear, busway, motor control centers, molded case circuit breakers, IEC/NEMA control, safety switches, and residential electrical distribution products.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred; a combination of high school diploma or GED plus related work experience also considered
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience
  • 3+ years of experience with low‑/medium‑voltage power distribution products
  • Ability to travel 15% of the time
  • Valid driver’s license in good standing; must be at least 21 years old to participate in Siemens vehicle plan
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without future employer‑sponsored work authorization
Benefits

Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. Pay range: $74,970.00 – $ annually plus an uncapped commission structure.
