Our client headquartered in Minnesota is seeking a Sales Lead based in the Lower Midwest region of the US (preferably Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska or Ohio). The fully remote position reports to the Sales Director and requires frequent travel (residency within close proximity to a major airport desired). The Sales Lead will drive new sales and support customers for various solutions in the packaging automation industry.
The ideal candidate has experience generating new business for material handling and packaging automation equipment, including parts and services. Possesses proven full-cycle consultative sales expertise and ability to identify unique automation challenges in order to provide solutions.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within the packaging automation and material handling sectors
- Utilize market research, existing personal contacts and company generated prospects to drive the entire consultative sales process through closure
- Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding customers on automation efficiency, ROI and system integration
- Coordinate with sales and engineering teams to prepare and present proposals, quotes, and contracts
- Build and nurture trusted relationships with key customers, clients, partners and stakeholders
- Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to potential clients
- Collaborate with marketing team to develop effective sales materials and lead-generation strategies
Skills/Requirements:
- Proficient in the packaging automation industry
- Good understanding of conveyors, robotics, vision systems, machine control systems and end-of-line packaging solutions
- Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Must be willing to travel to existing and prospective client locations, trade shows and industry events as required
Qualifications:
- 7+ Years of consultative B2B Cap Ex sales
- 5+ Years’ Business Development or Engineering experience in the automation equipment manufacturing industry
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited four-year College or University in Business or related field preferred
- Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
