Senior Account Sales Manager
GE Gas Power, part of GE Vernova, is driving advanced, cleaner, and efficient power solutions while building the energy technologies of the future. In this role you’ll shape customer relationships and drive business growth across the Heavy Duty Power Services Gas portfolio in your assigned region.
Responsibilities- Lead sales efforts in a defined geographic territory, driving growth across products, services, parts, and solutions with a strong commercial focus.
- Develop and execute long‑term strategic account and communication plans, ensuring a unified “one face to the customer” approach across offerings and functions.
- Manage and grow a robust sales pipeline that includes complex, multi‑offering transactions such as parts, repairs, outage services, upgrades, digital solutions, and service agreements.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales Operations, Engineering, Customer Fulfillment, and Marketing to enhance proposal strategies, outage planning, and customer engagement.
- Maintain accurate opportunity and project data in internal systems (e.g., NEX) and support demand forecasting and pacing activities.
- Provide leadership in proposal development, leveraging templates and tools to create compelling offers that align with customer needs and business goals.
- Monitor market trends, competitor actions, and customer strategies to identify new opportunities and inform sales tactics.
- Apply sound judgment to solve complex problems, recommend best practices, and influence internal and external stakeholders with data‑driven insights.
- Lead or contribute to functional teams or projects, guiding others and communicating complex concepts effectively to drive alignment and results.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 8 years of technical knowledge and experience within the Power Generation Industry in Commercial, Sales, and/or Project Management roles.
- Experience in Power Generation Equipment across the commercial cycle: product line, marketing, sales, operations, engineering.
- Ability to work across functions independently and serve as a self‑starter, developing relationships at the C‑suite level of internal and external customers.
- Superior business acumen, analytical ability, and experience managing and influencing in a matrix environment with commercial leadership skills.
- Long‑term business mindset with financial, analytical, and strategic planning capabilities.
- Will travel up to 25% of the time.
- Hybrid work model preferred; location:
Calgary or Edmonton. - No immigration sponsorship is offered for this position.
- Strong technical background with advanced knowledge of the Gas Power Fleet, auxiliary systems, and upgrade offerings.
- Deep understanding of the commercial cycle, product line, marketing, sales, commercial operations, and engineering.
- Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders with data‑driven insights.
- Base pay range: $155,000 – $195,000 CAD (depending on experience, education, and skill set).
- Discretionary annual sales incentive bonus.
- Relocation assistance provided.
- No relocation assistance for remote positions.
- Hybrid preferred; no remote‑only designation.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
