Regional Sales Manager East Coast – Water & Wastewater
Our client is seeking a well‑qualified candidate to manage sales growth in the Northeast/Mid‑Atlantic territory of a leading vertically integrated manufacturer and supplier of water treatment systems.
Base Pay Range: $ / yr – $ / yr
DescriptionThe Regional Sales Manager will assist with project costing and design for projects in the bidding phase, including specification review, project takeoffs, technical document generation, internal/external customer communication, lead qualification, and expanding sales efforts. The Eastern RSM will be located in the Philadelphia, Baltimore, Richmond, or Charlotte area to support leads, bidding activity, and channel partner management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Establish and maintain relationships with engineering firms and other accounts that indirectly influence the buying decisions of the customer.
- Prepare and present monthly forecasts by accurately managing opportunity dates, dollar value, and probabilities.
- Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters including technical support, media optimization, and pricing.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through cold calls and prospecting.
- Schedule appointments with both new prospects and established clients.
- Schedule and prepare presentation materials; set‑up, conduct, and follow‑up.
- Provide proposal review/input assistance to include preparation of quotes, proposals, orders and responses to client requests.
- Maintain responsive email and phone communication with staff and management.
- Enter data timely into CRM database for lead tracking and opportunity information.
- Forecast projects within the territory including immediate and long‑term projects.
- Communicate value offering to contractors via public bids.
- Update management on market conditions, industry trends, and competitive activities.
- Exhibit a strong commitment to the company’s social and environmental mission by promoting sustainable practices and fostering an inclusive work environment.
- Manage/direct channel partners within the territory.
- Significant field and client engagement requirement: >70% anticipated.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Being sensitive to the unpredictable demands and uncertainties associated with customer service is a prerequisite to delivering superior results and exceeding the expectations of demanding customers.
Preferred Skills & Experience- 8–12 years of experience in the municipal drinking water market.
- Proven track record of business development and sales management with multi‑million‑dollar funnels selling to contractors and utilizing channel partners.
- Excellent presentation, interpersonal, written, and oral technical communication skills.
- Remote positions, up to 70% travel within the territory.
A mechanical or chemical engineering degree, a technical college diploma, or a technical trade certification and/or equivalent work experience.
