Job Overview
The Field Sales Professional will serve as a consultative partner to schools, club select and travel programs, youth leagues, YMCA organizations, and other community-based athletic programs within the assigned territory. This role drives full‑cycle sales execution—from proactive prospecting and lead generation to account management and post‑sale service—while delivering best‑in‑class support that simplifies operations for coaches and program leaders.
LocationOil City/Franklin/Titusville, PA – The role operates in a hybrid environment between a home office, school, community, and event environments. Territory sales must be located near the area full‑time to manage local client relationships and maximize sales opportunities.
Travel RequirementTravel is primarily local to schools and organizations within the territory, 2–5 days a week. Some out‑of‑area and overnight travel may also be expected.
Working HoursHours may vary based on customer needs; evenings and weekends may be required.
Responsibilities- Provide best‑in‑class consultative customer service to coaches in the assigned territory.
- Generate revenue and meet sales/growth targets.
- Actively develop and qualify leads within the territory through cold‑calling and lead generation campaigns.
- Demonstrate resilience to handle rejection and persistence to turn challenges into opportunities.
- Navigate multiple functions within the company’s CRM, including prospecting, account management, and activity tracking.
- Increase sales in existing accounts by selling to all sports at all levels.
- Utilize data‑driven business intelligence to identify new trends and opportunities.
- Manage account list and travel on location within the assigned territory.
- High level of self‑direction and autonomy in managing tasks, projects, and responsibilities.
- Excellent problem‑solving, organizational, and multi‑tasking skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong time‑management and priority setting to meet deadlines.
- Intermediate skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM.
- Ability to cultivate a distraction‑free home office environment.
- 3+ years of B2B outside sales experience (preferably in sporting goods) or coaching/sports‑related background.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Must have and maintain a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a satisfactory driving record.
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, bending, lifting, and driving are part of this role.
