Senior Sales Engineer - Germany with focus on Public Sector

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:
  • Uncover and develop new customer opportunities by articulating the value of Cohesity solutions to both business and technical audiences.
  • Lead technical sales engagements for customers, from discovery to solution validation.
  • Design and deliver compelling product demonstrations, workshops, and presentations
    .
  • Create excellent technical solution proposals based on discovery, industry expertise, and alignment to customer business drivers.
  • Identify and proactively address technical risks to ensure successful outcomes and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive and execute proof of concepts (PoCs) that clearly demonstrate technical capabilities and business value.
  • Assure strong pre‑sales planning to enable customers to successfully integrate or extend Cohesity into their production environments, together with our professional services team and technical channel partner network.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and act as a trusted advisor throughout the sales lifecycle.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Product Management, and Customer Success teams to align on customer needs and product improvements.
We'd Love to Talk to You if You Have
  • Proven experience in Sales Engineering, Pre‑Sales Solutions Architecture, or Technical Pre‑Sales
    .
  • Strong background in enterprise IT environments (e.g., data protection, cloud, databases, or infrastructure).
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for diverse audiences.
  • Experience leading complex, multi‑stakeholder customer engagements.
  • Strong understanding of competitive positioning and solution differentiation.
  • A deep understanding of data protection, cyber resilience, or modern data platforms
    .
  • Experience working in hybrid and cloud environments
    .
  • Familiarity with enterprise applications, databases, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Industry certifications (cloud, database, or related technologies) are a plus.
  • Contributions to technical content such as white papers, demos, or training materials
    .
  • Contribution to Sales Engineering enablement and training programs
    .
  • Representation of Cohesity at customers, customer events, partner conferences, or internal initiatives
    .
  • Development of reusable assets such as demo environments, presentations, and best practices
    .
  • Act as a go‑to expert beyond your immediate team, at regional or geographic level.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Typically 8+ years of relevant experience in pre‑sales or technical sales roles.
