the role

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and supporting a team of Designers within an assigned territory. This role focuses on driving sales performance, developing talent, maintaining strong customer satisfaction, and ensuring consistent execution of sales processes. The ideal candidate is a motivated leader with a proven ability to coach, recruit, and grow highly performing sales teams.

What you’ll do
  • Oversee and direct sales activities to achieve goals within an assigned territory.
  • Provide daily support to a team of Designers from within the assigned territory.
  • Travel to the assigned territory to recruit, hire, train, develop and manage commissioned‑only staff.
  • Assign and manage Designer leads to ensure the highest possibility of ultimate sale.
  • Establish daily, weekly, and monthly goals, monitor and coach the sales team to follow the model and achieve established sales targets.
  • Oversee performance management and develop Designers in product services and consultative sales techniques.
  • Guide pricing and discounting discussions with Designers while they are servicing leads at home.
  • Identify and suggest improvements in areas of opportunity to strengthen sales, revenue, and closing ratio performance.
  • Develop and complete sales activity logs and sales revenue reports.
  • Assist Designers with closing sales by overcoming objections and following the model.
  • Focus on customer retention and improving overall customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate training in both one‑on‑one and group settings.
  • Participate in recruitment activities, including prescreens, interviews, and job offers.
Qualifications
  • 3–5 years’ minimum experience in a management capacity of sales or training.
  • Strong competitive sales drive, adaptability, and perseverance.
  • Well‑honed listening skills and a problem‑solving attitude to uncover needs and motivations to overcome objections.
  • Experience successfully motivating and developing sales teams.
  • Proven history consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and follow‑up.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills in a fast‑paced and ever‑changing environment.
  • Problem solver with the ability to be a creative thinker when presented with roadblocks.
