You have a documented track record carrying a $4MM+ quota selling integrated capital equipment systems — packaging machinery, process equipment, or related — into food, pharma, beverage, chemical, or related industries. You’ve built a territory from scratch with drive, grit, and full lifecycle sales skills.

These aren't easy deals. Sell cycles are long. Buying teams are large and demanding. Competition is fierce — from domestic and imported equipment suppliers to used machinery and the inertia of the status quo.

That's why we're looking for a superb rep who has mastered prospecting, consultative selling, and creating urgency around capital investments customers need to make but haven’t yet committed to.

The Company

Volumetric Technologies and AB Technology are key brands in the Excelis Automation portfolio, and the focus of this role. Excelis encompasses three other well-respected North American machinery companies across capping, conveying, labeling, and aftermarket support:

  • Sure Kap — capping machines
  • Kraken Automation (Canada) — conveyors and integrated automation
  • Technical Beverage — aftermarket parts and service

While you’ll primarily focus on the filling equipment of Volumentric and labeling/padding machines from AB Technology — both based in Red Wing, MN — you’ll create compelling projects across the portfolio, including integrated system sales. Each brand brings deep market expertise and an established installed base, serving customers from small regional manufacturers to global enterprises across food, beverage, nutraceuticals, chemicals, cosmetics, and more.

This is a full lifecycle sales role focused on aggressive expansion into new logos and full product line expansion into existing accounts. You'll execute the Baseline Selling methodology and build your pipeline with prospecting, networking, social selling, and referrals. You will report to our recently appointed Director of Sales, an industry veteran and amazing coach.

You’ve built your career in packaging machinery, process equipment, or closely adjacent capital equipment . You understand the buying dynamics — the engineers, procurement teams, and operators who shape decisions — and the financial conversations that get orders signed.

Success will require grit, relentless execution, and attention to detail. You'll be a ferocious prospector, skilled consultative seller, and proven closer . You will create projects, help business owners and management teams achieve their targets, and turn “nice-to-have” projects into must-have capital investments.

You’ll work remotely from a home office near one of our manufacturing facilities.
Ideally, in the Twin Cities , or possibly Atlanta, or Toronto , with approximately 50% travel. Bachelor's degree required (engineering disciplines a plus), with a minimum of five years in a similar new business sales role for capital equipment. Our team is too small for big egos.

Compensation

Base salary is competitive. Base is ≈$120, and OTE is ≈$250K , with uncapped commission. Benefits are standard and competitive.
