Where you will work:
This position offers a hybrid work option with required business travel and is based out of any Compeer office location in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct the efficient development of client relationships with farmers and ranchers operating in local/regional food systems. Provide creative, value‑added solutions to client problems, cross‑sell Compeer’s financial services, and act as a trusted advisor while influencing industry growth for specialized agriculture sectors.

A Typical Day Business Development
  • Research and identify prospective new clients and increase opportunities for business growth with existing clients.
  • Seek new loan business by developing relationships with existing clients, searching for new clients, and meeting with prospective clients.
  • Maintain prospect files and establish ongoing prospecting plans and activities.
  • Assist leadership in developing and delivering business plan objectives and marketing programs that enable the organization to meet business goals.
  • Focus on creating valuable financial solutions to client operations while generating revenue and volume for the organization.
  • Participate in the development of new products/services and/or the development of product promotion campaigns in collaboration with the Compeer Marketing team.
Client Relationship Management
  • Represent the organization for select moderately complex commercial accounts, including some multi‑lender relationships.
  • Continuously build and develop solid relationships with existing clients by bringing valued knowledge and experience to help manage the client’s agricultural operations more effectively.
  • Provide creative solutions and cross‑sell value‑added financial services to existing clients.
  • Maintain and deliver the appropriate systems and structures to support a relationship‑selling culture.
  • Deliver expert industry knowledge and world‑class client service.
  • Support a relationship‑selling structure.
  • Deliver “value‑added” informational services to the farming operation.
  • Work with the client to gather and analyze their financial information.
  • Process new loan applications, renewals of existing operations for commercial real estate loans.
  • Follow up with clients to request financials to ensure up‑to‑date, accurate information as needed.
  • Discuss and collect required financial documentation with the client and quality of financials reported.
  • Use Compeer systems (Salesforce, SharePoint, etc.) and workflows to accurately enter, review and correct data for each loan file from application to closing.
Industry Expertise and Community Involvement
  • Develop in‑depth knowledge of product and service offerings to benefit association clients.
  • Network and attend industry meetings and conferences to gain knowledge that can be shared with clients and prospective clients. May provide education or share knowledge as an industry speaker as needed.
