Fiber Optic Center (FOC), headquartered in New Bedford, Massachusetts (USA), is a leading distributor and technical resource specializing in high-quality consumables, tools, production equipment, and test and measurement solutions for the fiber optic assembly industry. We support customers across the telecommunications, industrial, medical, military, and aerospace markets with a strong focus on innovation, process improvement, and technical excellence.

Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled  Business Development / Technical Sales Professional  to represent Fiber Optic Center within the EMEA region. This role is ideal for a self-driven individual who enjoys working independently, building relationships, and providing technical solutions that enhance our customers’ fiber optic assembly processes.

After an initial training period, you will operate from your home office, visiting prospects and customers across your region to demonstrate products, provide technical guidance, and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with customers and prospects in the EMEA fiber optic assembly market.

Demonstrate and sell FOC’s portfolio of  high-quality consumables, tools, production, and test & measurement equipment .

Plan and manage your own travel, including customer visits, demonstrations, and technical presentations.

Collaborate closely with the  inside sales  and  customer service  teams at headquarters in New Bedford (MA, USA) to ensure seamless communication and customer satisfaction.

Provide post-sales support including installation assistance, customer training, and process improvement guidance.

Identify market trends and new business opportunities to expand FOC’s presence in the EMEA region.

Represent FOC at trade shows, conferences, and customer events as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Proven experience in  technical sales, business development , or  field applications  — ideally within the fiber optics, photonics, or electronics manufacturing sectors.

Strong understanding of  fiber optic cables, connectors, and assembly processes .

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.

High level of independence, organization, and initiative in managing travel and customer relationships.

Multilingual skills are highly valued;  English proficiency is required .

Based in  Central Europe , preferably near a major airport for convenient travel (existing team members are in the Netherlands).

Valid passport and ability to travel internationally (~30% of the time).
