Position: Africa Travel / destination booking Specialist (Remote) Permanent

Our client is looking for experienced Luxury Travel Consultants to join them. This is a sales-focused role best suited to people who have worked in luxury safari travel or custom travel planning, and who know Southern Africa and related countries well.

Your success in this role will be measured by how many bookings you close, the revenue you generate, and how happy your clients are — not just how many inquiries you respond to.

This is a full circle travel liaison role with personalized interaction with travelers directly

Experience & Knowledge
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in luxury travel, safari sales, or custom travel planning
  • Strong knowledge of Southern Africa destinations and lodge products, including Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Namibia, Mozambique, Eswatini, and Lesotho
  • A track record of closing sales and generating revenue
  • Experience using travel systems.
  • A qualification in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business, or Marketing
  • Fluent English is required
  • Additional languages such as German, Italian, Spanish, French, or Dutch are a plus
  • Commercially aware — you understand margins, targets, and profitability
  • High emotional intelligence — you can read people, understand what they want, and earn their trust quickly
  • Culturally sensitive and comfortable working with clients from all over the world
  • Extremely organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to work independently, including remotely
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Genuinely passionate about Africa, conservation, and creating memorable travel experiences
Duties
  • Turn client enquiries into confirmed, high-value bookings and repeat customers
  • Plan and put together personalised travel itineraries across Southern Africa
  • Build strong relationships with international clients quickly and professionally
  • Make sure all quotes, client messages, and system records are accurate and detailed
  • Manage your own sales pipeline while working in line with team processes
  • Deliver outstanding service that reflects a commitment to responsible and conservation-focused travel
